Import supplier and ERP data

Supplier sheets. ERP exports. Mapped once, ready for the next file.

Upload CSV or Excel, or use the REST API. See each row’s result, and why any row failed.

From re-keying to reusing.

  • TodayEach supplier file is re-keyed or re-mapped by hand.

With CataZentaSave a profile per supplier: column mapping, delimiter and encoding. Reuse it next time.

  • TodayAccented names come out garbled from older systems’ exports.

With CataZentaPick the encoding the file was saved in, so accented names come through intact.

  • TodayAn import fails, and it’s unclear which rows broke or why.

With CataZentaDownload an error file that lists each failed row and the reason.

How it works

From supplier file to product records.

One file, start to finish.

01Match

Upload and match columns.

Auto-map suggests catalog attributes by column name, language columns included. You review and save.

02Save

Save it for next time.

Keep the mapping, delimiter and encoding as a profile for that supplier’s next file.

03Check

Get the result and error files.

Download the uploaded, result and error files. Then run Duplicate detection to flag possible duplicates.

Then put it to work.

  • PIM Hub

Holds the imported products, variants, families and categories.

  • AI agents & Zen AI

Run them to flag duplicates and draft missing values.

  • Channel publishing

Publishes Approved products to Amazon and Shopify, and builds CSV or Excel feeds.

Do you connect to our ERP directly?

Not directly. CataZenta doesn’t have ERP connectors. Export products from your ERP as CSV or Excel (XLSX) files and import them with a saved profile. Your developers can also upload files and start imports through the REST API, and track each one as a job. Column headers need to be in the first row.

Can imports run on a schedule, or from SFTP?

Imports run when you start them, by uploading a file in the app or through the REST API. SFTP, cloud storage pulls and scheduled imports aren’t available. Rows match existing products on product code, so a newer file updates matching products and adds new ones.

Do images import with the file?

Imports carry product data, not images, so images go into the DAM first and are then added to each product’s media fields.

Do imports wait for approval?

They don’t. Imports write straight to your catalog, tracked as a job with a result for each row, and can set product families, variant families and categories as well as attribute values. Agents work differently: their suggestions wait for your approval by default, and Duplicate detection reports findings for you to review.
